MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
I'm glad to see him out of this town. However, he's not the pitcher he was last year. Velocity's been down since the year started(was consistently 95-100 last year). Still, he's a very good pitcher and is a huge get for the Indians.

And... this is a circus. Apparently no deal done yet, and he's going to start. He had even been scratched from the start originally.

This is as weird as it gets. Ubaldo's pitching in the 1st inning while Esmil Rogers warms up in the bullpen. Why the fuck do you even have Ubaldo pitch? This is ridiculously stupid on the Rockies' part.

And... it just gets weirder. Ryan Ludwick just hit a 2-run double off Ubaldo. Ludwick is also reportedly about to be traded to the Indians. So they're facing each other in this game and reportedly about to head to the same team.

4 runs and counting off Ubaldo in the 1st inning.

Holly fuck.... Dunn is just 3-for-77 (.039) against lefties this season.

Love'n it!

As of like three weeks ago Cliff Lee had more hits off of lefties this year than Dunn. I believe at the time he had only one hit.

He's on pace to have a his average lower than his strike out total. On pace for 200 k's, and is currently batting .165.

Has that ever happened before?

The Pirates are spent.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

The word around here is that Strasburg is going to start a minor league game this weekend and could be pitching in the majors by early September. I'm surprised they're bringing him back this year.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Yeah... I'd just save that for next year.

I could see trotting him out for a couple of starts to try and build buzz for next year.

Yeah, I think that's why they want to do it.
