I listened to a few innings during the Cubs/Sox game. It was way better than Hawk/DJ, but that isn't saying much.

Yeah it's really awkward, the worst possible person for Stoney to work with. Hawk doesn't get any of Stoney's sarcasm and I laugh at the silence from Stoney after Hawk says his usual stupid shit.

I also noticed that Stoney doesn't partake in the "You can put in on the board....YESSSSS!" bullshit.

When they "talk" with each other, it's like the 2 are having 2 totally different conversations.

so it looks like Aaron Boone had the exact same surgery as I did.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

They aren't nearly as bad as I expected, but their conversations about the olden days already rival those of Joe Morgan and various other straight men on ESPN broadcasts in terms of hokiness. Hawk is trying so hard to prove he's a baseball historian, he's even modified his hillbilly accent at times trying to sound intelligent with Stoney. It's actually somewhat entertaining in that respect.

That said, I don't see this relationship lasting more than a couple seasons. Once Hawk realizes that Stoney isn't DJ or Wimpy, and starts openly disagreeing with his "good guys" bias on air, the cracks will start showing. It's gonna be awesome.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Ohman passes audition, Dodgers offer $1 million deal

Will Ohman was good enough in his audition for the Los Angeles Dodgers as a situational lefty-reliever that the team offered him a one-year contract. Now the Dodgers are waiting for a response to the offer, according to the Los Angeles Times.

According to The Times, Ohman, 31, was presented with a contract offer, which is believed to be for one year at around $1 million. However, Ohman has been waiting for a deal for around $2 million, which is why he was unemployed in the first place this close to the start of the season.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->General manager Dave Dombrowski said Sunday that he's "fairly optimistic" Dontrelle Willis will pitch in 2009 despite beginning the season on the disabled list with what the Tigers are calling an anxiety disorder.
Willis said that the disorder was diagnosed via blood tests: "They see something in my blood that they don't like. I'm not crazy. My teammates might think I'm crazy. But this is not something like that." However, both Detroit newspaper quote doctors indicating that using blood tests in the way described by Willis is unlikely and perhaps even impossible.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Ummm...yeah...

When did the psychiatric community start diagnosing disorders via blood tests?

So much for that 3 years, $15 million he wanted.
