MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Watched part of the Brewers/Astros game last night. I think it's safe to say the Cubs can count themselves out of getting the 2013 top draft pick. The 'stros are horrible.

If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

They are indeed, but I still believe that we'll give them a run for their money and lock up the #2 pick. Our rotation is going to be horrendous the rest of the season.

I don't understand the point of not awarding a win to a starting pitcher that doesn't go 5 innings, only to give it to the next pitcher who goes 1 inning.
I got nothin'.

Part of why wins are stupid.
