MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)

Fuck the Pirates. I don't want a team that has been utter bullshit for 20 years even sniffing a world series.

Why not? You'd prefer the same 5 teams every year?
I got nothin'.

It's gets old watching team after team break their title drought before the Cubs. I'd rather watch the Yankees win it every year than watch the Pirates, who haven't even had a winning season in 20 years, win it once.

It sure is glorious to see the Brewers 11.5 games out of first place.

Fuck off Braun. Karma, bitch.

I'm right with you. However, Braun is having (another) monster season, but that's ok...it puts a twinkle in my eye watching their bullpen blow game after game.
I just want to drink beer and play atari

You might want to have a doctor look at that.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I'm a Pirates fan for the rest of the year.

I don't watch baseball.

Zack Greinke to the Angels.

Is the SS the Brewers got back pretty highly regarded? Seems to have pretty good minor league stats.

Makes you wonder if we could have netted the same haul plus another significant prospect, were Garza healthy.

Jean Segura is a top talent, the best prospect the Angels had, by some accounts. The Angels are such a powerful team right now, it's unreal. They have got to be the favorites to win the Series, I would think.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Especially with the Rangers shitting themselves lately.

If you draft someone through the Rule 5 draft and then trade them, can they then be optioned to the minors?
I got nothin'.

Hi,

Cubs filled three roster spots so they are now at 24. They are short one pitcher. They brought up Cardenas, Castillo and Coleman. Don't know if Valbuena or Cardenas can also play the outfield.

I would love to see Cardenas get a shot so we know what we have for sure.

I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do between 3B and spelling Barney at 2B from time to time, but he doesn't have the power to be a long-term solution at a corner spot.
