Yeah, and them being garbage was never going to last either.

The Rangers do seem to lead the league in failed prospects over the past 1/2 decade.
I was absolutely amazed to see he is still only 24.  Feels like he's been around for ever.

This would surprise me.  If they could afford Arrieta (which I highly question), I'd think they'd save the money to try to keep Bryce.

Funny how Arrieta suddenly becomes an all-time great once he even hints at moving into the Eastern time zone. A few days ago he was being devalued by all of the NYC baseball writers as past his prime.

I forgot the Nats get rid of Jayson Werth's contract, so they probably could afford Arrieta, but I really doubt they could afford him this year and Harper next year.

It's funny, I thought Boone was a bad choice when I first read it but now I'm thinking he might be a good manager, in the Kerr kind of mold.

Hope not. Hope that team falls on its face.

But with that pen and that lineup?

Hard to imagine.

The Yankees are going to be really good again for a long time. I hate them.

What would make him a good manager?  The history of managers with zero big league experience isn't a good one.

The guy has never coached or managed at any level of professional baseball. I'm sure he has some experience with his kids' little league teams.

He's gonna get Renteria'd as soon as whoever the Yankees are waiting on becomes available.

It worked wonders for Robin Ventura.

That's where the 'in the Kerr mold' came in.

Not JUST that--he comes off as a smart, thoughtful, genuine guy too.

I think Kerr did more than coach his daughter's softball team...maybe the summer league for Oak one time.
