I will say, if they now turn a package involving Santana for an arm like Archer or Salazar, I might be more concerned.

If Brewers add either Darvish or Jake - which is unlikely, the Cubs most likely aren’t favorites in NL Central without picking up the other top free agent starter that Brewers don’t sign.

That's the thing. The Brewers are going for it. They HAVE to acquire a front-end SP now. And the Cards aren't done adding either. It's going to be a much tougher division, but I still think we are the best team.

Cain, as in Matt Cain, the pitcher? Id argue that makes them worse. Yelich is a stud, though.

I think people are forgetting how much most of their regulars overperformed last year. I'd expect a regression on that front. Also, Santana alone I don't think gets them someone like Archer.

The day they release Braun is going to be lovely. One day they're going to want his roster spot.

Thames's first half of 2017: .248/.374/.562, .936 OPS with 23 HR and 43 RBI
Thames's second half of 2017: .246/.338/.456, .794 OPS with 8 HR and 20 RBI I'm thinking the real Thames is closer to the second half Thames.

Quote:Pretty much this. I'd argue that that article still overvalues the Brewers.
