Heres SIs MLB power rankings. Cubs come in at 4th with the Dodgers being the only NL team ahead of them at 3rd.


The rankings are meaningless as most of the top free agents havent found their 2018 destinations but it seems to be as close as a general overview of MLB competitive environment that I could share during what I expect to be a slow baseball news week

Heres ESPNs view on what their Top 7 MLB clubs should do to close out the offseason. For Cubs, they believe that Cubs will sign Darvish and resign Davis but article suggests trading Russell for Machado as he would provide the offense required to allow Heyward and Almora as everyday players.
