I heard on MLB Radio this afternoon that the Dodgers were rumored to be handing the Braves about 4- 4.5 million.The idea is, the Braves wanted to free up money for 2019. Kemp is under contract for 2 more years whereas Kazmir, Gonzalez, and McCarthy have expiring contracts at the end of 2018 (i think).

That also makes sense under the presumption that it's not likely anyone is going to catch the Nats in the NL East in 2018.  Assuming Harper leaves, that division could be wide open in 2019.
