Tonight kinda sucked but my favorite part was Joe Buck repeating Rose's prediction that Kyle would go 0-3 with 3 Ks right before he blasted what looked like a homer off the right field wall.
That's my only good memory of this game.

I thought Kyle would looked lost but he was anything but. He was patient, had pitch recognition and a good swing.

IIRC, On the pitch just before that blast, Kyle swung on something that didn't so much as fool him as it reminded him of something. He literally shook it off; looked a bit pissed at himself; and and then settled back. To me it was a mini-inspirational novel. Welcome back to the field, Kyle.

He's batting 147 and everyone knows that prospects can really pick up and learn the strike zone and hitting discipline when they are in their 30's so he's set. Plus reporting college football on weekends provides him that time away from baseball which he wasn't able to get enough of while in college or fumbling around his NFL attempts

Tim Tebow's public persona has become a joke but he is well-appreciated over here.

Good news: Pat Hughes has been named 1 of the 8 finalists for the Ford Frick award.
Bad news: So has Hawk Harrelson.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

Here's something I heard only today. Jacoby Ellsbury set the record for getting on base on account of catcher interference calls this past season. He ended up with 12, and the previous season record was 8. Pete Rose holds the career record with 29, and Ellsbury already has 26.
One dick can poke an eye out. A hundred dicks can move mountains.

MLB Network is beginning to air Ken Burns' Baseball again tonight in case anyone wants to rematch it...or (*gasps*) hasn't already seen this masterpiece of a documentary series.

So in the past couple of days the Braves have signed both R.A. Dickey and Bartolo Colon. Has to be approaching the oldest rotation ever, even with some youngsters in there.
