Man, I still remember how many people on this board came to Swisher's defense when I tried to call him a douche back when he first signed with the White Sox. So much betrayal -- it's a painful memory. Rok -- I believe you were one of the few on my side (and on the right side of history)...

There was a vocal contingent defending him here. Still to this day don't understand why, but if memory serves these were the same folks who thought Brian Wilson was genuinely funny.

I tried to search for Swisher defenders in the archives, and I turned up nada. Is this some old discussion? The closest to taking an opposing view I could find are my admonishments that you guys pay way too much attention to the Swishers and Wilsons of the world.

Not sure but it had to be a thread started sometime around 2008-09 when he still had Sox taint on him.
