Latest update on MLBTR on the matter says the Dodgers are going to interview Dave Martinez for their manager gig.

We're losing a lot of our MiLB and MLB staff this offseason, but Martinez would be the biggest loss for sure. That said, if he gets the LA job, he deserves it.

Definitely. I'm surprised he hasn't been offered a job managing yet. Seems like every off season he gets two or three interviews.

Cubs were, and to most likely to a lower extent will continue to, dumpster diving from other organization's trash. It's another round of ammunition to dump on Sox fans but unlike other items, it may not be a dumb move.

There's always some element of trying to buy low or giving broken players second chances around the league. Our FO won't stop doing that, but that isn't what we're talking about. What makes the Sox look silly is they are constantly monitoring OUR organizational trash can and increasingly diving in head first. Olt, Soto, Bonifacio, now Renteria. Shark wasn't trash, but they turned him into a festering pile of doo doo.
