So with Arrieta going Wednesday he probably wouldn't be available until Game 3 in the NLDS, right? If Lester can take Game 1, I can picture a 1-1 series going back to Chicago for Arrieta pitching a pivotal game three.
I just want to drink beer and play atari

Why would you suppose there are two different times for the start of the ALDS games that depends upon the WC winner? Maybe they want the lucrative NYC prime time start should the Yankees be there, but why not just schedule either contingency for 8:07 pm (especially since both the Royals and Astros are in the CST?).
One dick can poke an eye out. A hundred dicks can move mountains.

I can only assume they have research that says that the east coast is going to tune out as a rule by about 11, but that having the Yankees in the game will offset that.

By the way, because the ALDS games go first on Friday, I'm assuming that the NLDS games will go first on Monday when there will also be 4 games scheduled (unless either ALDS is a sweep).
In that case, it's likely that, should we get there, the Monday game would start at Wrigley early-mid afternoon. I'm hoping that it would be the mid-afternoon game (the game in the 3:45 slot on Friday) because the other series will be in New York. They can start that game at least after noon. Having the first game of the day be at Wrigley could mean a start before noon local time. I'm guessing it could be something like a 2:30 - 3:00 CT start for both Game 3 and Game 4 at Wrigley.

Have to say I miss this shit. I don't think there's anything better in sports for me than the MLB playoffs.

I like watching it. Usually, there's no pressure.

I will always watch the MLB playoffs, but it's different when the Cubs aren't in it. More a curiosity and distraction than anything else. That said, there's almost nothing better than rooting against the Cards in the World Series. Except 2012. That was excruciating.
