That's got to suck for Brad Pitt.

The Cards have apparently extended that douche Molina for another 5 years at around $70-75mil.

Given Molina's history; the young, potential aces that the Cards have in their system; and dearth of catching prospects in their minor league system, I can understand the need for an extension. Still have to question the length of the extension given Molina's age and position. What should the Cards expect from the 5th year of the extension when Molina will be 35?

Well SON OF A B! i kinda thought that would happen. his bat got a ton better last year. easily his best hitting season to date.

They'd better be ok with paying him for a career year, because most see the big bump in power numbers as a fluke, but then again great hitting catchers are very rare nowadays. That said, he does handle the staff well.

Brunett out 2-3 months after fouling a bunt off his eye. The day after his trade he said "It's going to be fun. I'm going back to the National League, where I can hit and bunt and get the joy back into the game."

...tough "break" for the Pirates

Sizemore has surgery on back to start the first week of training camp. Expected to miss 8

- 12 weeks. Sounds like minor surgery but backs are tricking and surgery is usually not an early option.

Why didn't the Cubs go after this guy in the offseason? Maybe there's still time for a deal if he hasn't officially been moved to the DL.

He hasn't been healthy for 3 years now.

So he's due for a stellar year.

Hell, he could go on and remain on the DL for the full season, far surpassing last year!

Hey, Fat Elvis keep talking about how Selig extorted Crane to move the Astros to the AL and hopefully neither you nor the Cards will feel any repercussions
