MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Yeah, he's been very good. Sano has also been solid for the Twins, though I believe he was called up a little bit later.

Got a good chuckle while watching the news last night. Like most MLB clubs, it's been a tradition for each team to have some sort of fan appreciation day or weekend during their last series of the season. For the Brewers, it jus so happens their final homestand will be against the Cubs this year. One of the grand prizes over the weekend is a 2015 Chevy Trax, along with team store gift cards, 2016 stadium meal vouchers, 2016 suite tickets, etc...

With that being true, the powers that be in their upper office are incredibly paranoid of the possibility that a Cubs fan might actually take home some of these prizes. So they aren't taking any chances and they decided to break tradition and move their Fan Appreciation weekend to the previous weekend (when Cincy is in town). Apparently there's no limit to their massive superiority complex they have towards the Cubs' organization and its fans. They remind me of that little kid in the playground crying out "I'm taking my bat and ball and I'm going home!". What a bunch of bitches. I'm sure it won't help that the Cubs will probably fill up over half their stadium that weekend. I just find that extremely humorous how much the Cubs get in their heads.

I think you mean inferiority complex.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

While the Brewers were doing pretty good the past few seasons, the Cubs have been god awful and the fans up here thrived on that. That to me suggests a supiority complex...showing superiority but hiding their feelings of being the little market down the road from Chicago. But in this situation of them changing the appreciation date, I think you're right it should be inferiority. They don't want to give the Cubs anymore satisfacation then they already have of being the better team.

I get he is worried about his value, but, are you playing the game for strictly money or are you wanting to win a WS?

Ask the Nats how it worked for them shutting Strasburg down. The Mets and Harvey may not get to this point again. Is there a conclusive study out there that says a pitchers risk of a second TJS goes down if his innings are capped his first full year back from TJS?

His value is something he might want to consider, with regard to telling future employers that he's shutting himself down at 180 innings, playoffs or no playoffs.

He's an idiot.

And it's hilarious.

Always believed Harvey was a self-centered douche. He should just let Boras do his dirty work and keep his mouth shut. This may be the Mets' best shot to win anything. After this season, Cespedes, Uribe and Johnson walk, and they're left with a AAAA offense again.

I'm actually going to tune in to see how he does. Conflicted.
