Ed Farmer has always been a joyless, crusty piece of garbage, so that doesn't surprise me at all.

It looks like Bill Miller was consistently calling the location a strike for left handed hitters (upper strikezone and inside). The key word being consistently. Looking at these charts, only a few of the called strikes were really all that bad. Though I can understand how it would play with a batter when they take the strike, thinking it was a ball and now have to swing at pitches they wouldn't otherwise swing at to protect themselves from being called out.
Pitch chart of called balls and strikes (not hit).
I got nothin'.

Like I said in that game thread, I'm not a Harper hater by any means...but he didn't make a very good case for himself with those comments.

What he said doesn't really bother me all that much. He didn't insult Greinke, mostly the ump. He still called him a great pitcher.

I didn't know that pitchfx is from the umps POV. Well, I guess I've known in each context I looked at, but this is the first time I doubted it, so now I know.

KC is demoting opening day starter Yordano Ventura to AAA after a rough year. Wonder how this all ends and if he will be dangled in trades at some point.

With the latest injury to Dodger starter - Anderson appears to have injured his achilles, whom do you believe the Dodgers will pick up and at what price? Lots of options noted in article including: Cueto, Hamels, Price, Kazmir, etc.
