I should say that I'm happy that the Royals are doing better than the Sox, just that I'm surprised by it. Maybe the whole state if Missouri is dealing with the devil.
People seem to forget that the Royals almost won the WS last year. I'm not sure why people are surprised with how good they are.</blockquote>
This. I've been wondering that a lot this year. I don't understand it.</blockquote>
And they were one of the best 2nd half teams of 2014. PECOTA must undervalue that.

Just dropped in 105 votes for the ASG. Have nothing else really to do until the game starts, so I figured why not.

And Boston won the 2013 World Series. I didn't forget the Royals amazing run, but statistical projections do.

Do you honestly feel the Royals were one of the top two teams last year? According to Baseball Reference. the 2014 Royals were 23rd in OPS+, 16th in FIP (although 4th in ERA+), 11th in WAR. They were good when it mattered--and they offer some proof that defense matters more than a little--but that doesn't mean they should be good again.

I think you're limited to 35 votes/day, so 70 of those might not have counted.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

But their TWTW was off the chart.

I'm guessing that he is.

I thought the Royals would suck, but just because they lost Butler.  I love a guy with a cool nickname.

Machado just got tossed from the Sox game for whipping down his bat on a check swing.  He really is  a throbbing penis.

Too bad Braun wasn't tossed for similar behavior a week or so ago.

This one was a little more blatant.  Slammed it down as opposed to flipped it.  But yeah, I feel ya.
