MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Damn, just imagine how we would be acting if the Cubs offered sexual donuts. Hell, I'd even accept sexual vegetables.

The Royals are dropping a hammer on the Cards. Morales with two homers.

I wouldn't celebrate too much, we play them next weekend.

So I should be rooting for the Cardinals?

No. I'm just scared that if we celebrate them beating the Cards 2 of three, we'll make the baseball gods mad and they'll come in and sweep us. Just to punish us for being happy for once.

That actually makes sense to me.

I get sad every time I see highlights of Chris Archer pitching. My hatred toward Hendry and Garza grows as well. How great would it be to have this guy in our rotation right now next to Arrieta/Lester/Hammel? Sigh...

We probably wouldn't have gotten to draft Kris, if Archer pitched for us.

Why do you say that? Archer probably wouldn't have been promoted until 2013 had he still been in our organization.

The Indians are the ones who should really feel foolish about trading Archer.

Perhaps, but at the time the Indians traded him Archer was still a high risk prospect with serious control issues to work out and a very high era. When we traded him, he was finally starting to show some promise and consistency. I will grant you that the Indians have nothing to show for that trade, while we were at least able to flip Garza for some bullpen arms and other useful parts like Olt and hopefully Edwards. Still could end up being nothing in the end though, depending on injuries and such. Hopefully Edwards ends up a stud and we look back and laugh about it.
