MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
He was a doubles hitter but I wouldn't call him a slappy one. He's always been a really good hitter with great potential. He's learned how to hit for power now.

They struck gold.

Should have flipped Schwarber for him when we had a chance.

Could have flipped Bryant for him and half of the Marlins’ roster prior to last season

The fuck is going on with Christian Yelich?

For real.

Sorry, didnt see you were writning about him.

But seriously, wtf?

Quote:Yelich wasnt a power hitter with the Marlins. He topped out at 20 homers with them and that was a big jump. He was a slappy doubles hitter until he came to the Brewers. Maybe he just figured something out, but he went from averaging around .430 SLG in Miami to .598 last year and now hes slugging over .800.

So now hes Barry Bonds. Its suspicious.

The prognostic have predicted more power for Yelich more some time. They have been waiting for this breakout (which happens to be in his age-27 year). Still, the fact that all 13 of his HRs have come in Miller Park is meaningful, as Biggz suggests.

The ball may also be juiced again.

Ok. An uptick in power, sure. But what hes doing is what Bonds was doing. And we know that story.

One insane figure that Yelich has continued from last year is his pop up rate - lowest in MLB - of 1.2%

He’s a power hitter that doesn’t pop up. He just hits them out. 13 of his 30 hits are HRs. Crazy

Hader gives up another HR

Jansen needs 30 pitches to close the game so hopefully hell have to take days off against Cubs series

Dodgers beat Brewers 6-5

Wow. That is crazy.

I think Miller Park is a big factor for him. It's still early, but the Brewers have been pretty "meh" outside of Yelich.  They're playing way more to how they should be.

Very glad to see Hader struggling, hopefully last year's usage and the continuation of that use is finally catching up to his WT ass.

It's bullshit that the Brewers are playing their 24th game today and the Cubs have played 20.  Factoring out the one postponement for the Cubs, it's horseshit that the Brewers have been scheduled to have 3 fewer days off in the first month, meaning they have 3 (now 4) more later in the season.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

That's about right.
