MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
It totally leaves the ground in much of the video I've seen.

MLB says as long as it doesn't leave the ground "too much", then it's ok. Not sure how the ump can measure "too much"? That probably has to come from the base empire(s).

I can't imagine trying to time that as a hitter. Not to mention he hides the ball extremely well, he literally hides the ball behind him and between his legs during his stride. Almost like he's shoving the ball up his ass. Then he throws 95+ mph from only 50 feet from the plate.

I just want to drink beer and play atari

That isn't a "drag" as much as it is a "jump." I can't see how this is legal.

Looks similar to the hop fastpitch softball pitchers use.  It gives the pitcher an advantage by moving him that much closer to the plate.

I got nothin'.

It would be a terrible shame if he hurt himself doing that.

The Marlins should have all of their wins in games which this douche has pitched reversed to losses. You know, just to be fair, until the matter is settled.

So when does Ryno get the axe?

I think he's been applauded for finally sitting Howard.

Isn't he batting Howard 7th in today's game?

I get the idea of it, but, the majority of pitching injuries we see on come backers are not balls that go off the top of their head. They are mostly face shots and none of this protective gear does anything to protect the face.

Another PED suspension. Some of you might remember McKirahan was claimed by the Marlins from the Cubs in the 2014 rule 5 draft, then the Braves picked him up off waivers before the season.

That's 2 pitchers the Braves got, directly or indirectly, from the Cubs (along with Arodys Vizcaino) to be busted.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]
