MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Cubs will be ahead of them in the standings at the end of the series Sunday.*

The Brewers' six wins have been by a total of seven runs (five one-run wins, one two-run win). You're witnessing luck in its extra virgin form.

To lighten the mood around here, here is a fun article about how Trevor Rosenthal currently sits at an ERA of infinity, with 7 batters faced, 4 BBs, 3 Hs, and 7 ERs in 0.0 IP in his first three appearances. So, at least he isn't in our bullpen.

Trevor Bauer with a no hitter through 7.

117 pitches, though. Also, hes a massive douche. So. Go Blue Jays.

I hope he throws 170 pitches and loses the no-no with 2 outs in the 9th.

They brought in a reliever. Oh well.

Baby Ruth Vogelbach is off to a hot start for the Mariners, mashing righties.

Jesus, I saw he was starting out well...but he's got 5 HRs already?

I'm starting to feel REALLY bad for Dallas Keuchel.  Purple font.

The Red Sox struggles are the only thing keeping me calm so far this season. Not that I dislike them, but you know, underperfoming misery loves company. That and the Dodgers' crappy start last year. If they can hit 10 games under and end up in the WS, there's hope... Right?

If they're going to suck, I want them to suck badly enough that they are clear sellers at the deadline and they can do a mini-rebuild on the fly this season.

I'm not giving up this early at all...but it would sure be nice if they could put together a streak of good baseball soon.

I can't believe Keuchel and Kimbrel are still unsigned.

Yeah, I would prefer the FO makes any hard decisions sooner rather than later. Worst case scenario is the team is stuck around .500 by late July with little momentum.

That said, regardless of how this season turns out the pitching staff is old and expensive. It needs to be rebuilt almost from top to bottom. Not sure if that's even possible at this point.

We will see what happens.  Brewers playing like they should be again.
