No issue with delayed start to season. Just commence the season after All Star Break and every regularly scheduled game is played as a double header. Yeah, that sounds right. Provides a full season of games in half the calendar days. Those day games following an evening games might be a bit rough but the roster expanded to 26, and now 27 for double headers, more players to eat up those innings. Couldn’t imagine any issues with that approach

“ MLB has agreed to grant a full year of service to players who remain active for the entire 2020 season regardless of how many games the schedule includes, according to sources familiar with the discussions.”



Would like to read more into this comment but given current news regarding pandemic difficult to raise my expectations that MLB will not only have a 2020 season but a relatively complete 162 game season

I think they should cut the season in half on the calendar and play two five-inning double headers each day. Or some shit like that.
