To be clear though, growing up I didn't have strong feelings against any of the AL teams (Sox included), and liked watching the Braves on TBS. Otherwise, I had an intense hatred toward all the NL East, and then the NL Central teams.

To be clear, I myself am just kidding. I only hate a few opposing players. And the White Sox.

I remember starting to hate the Mets when I was around 12-13. Otherwise, I was a fan all just about all ball players, maybe hating one or two depending upon a goony baseball card photo. Like, say, the hairy, sweaty Rick Matula.

Sounds like Cliff Lee's career may be over, if elbow surgery is in order. How does Amaro still have a job?

Last week MLB TV guys like Harold Reynolds were talking about how if Hamels can't be had that Lee would be a great backup option. Really? I immediately thought, you must be nuts I'd say Lee is about done. Looks like that may be the case.

In other news, Appel scratched from his start with forearm stiffness. Man, we really may have dodged a bullet there.

I think the implication is that Lee should have been traded long before this happened.

We got away with two big ones in Tanaka and Darvish too. And I still think they were all in for those two. Tanaka at least...

Quote:I think the implication is that Lee should have been traded long before this happened.Yes. From what I understand, Amaro started getting calls on Lee in 2013, and never pulled the trigger, always holding out for more. Then his elbow exploded.
