MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Quote:Sarcasm motherfuckers. Get some.
Honestly, I didn't see the purple.  I feel ashamed.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

I don't think it was originally purple. But it also didn't need to be.

O's starter Bud Norris likely headed to DL with groin strain

Does that provide enough impetus for them to strike deal for Shark or Hammels?

Someone leaked the Astros' confidential trade notes between 2013-14. This is making some pretty big headlines around the league and in the sports world overall.

Can't believe he thought he was going to get Giolito for Harrell.

Forgot about Torreyes.

Rick Porcello just pitched the first CG shutout in 25 years without any strikeouts or walks.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

That is weird  blink

If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Padres may not have a GM but they just signed Seth Smith to a 2 yr deal worth $13 MM + option year

Deal takes one of the limited, productive OF off the free agent market.

Angels respond to the A's/Cubs trade by getting...Tony Campana (and Joe Thatcher). Scrappy never slumps!

Campana will be the new David Eckstein in Anaheim. This is great.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Except that he's worse.

Yeah, at least Eckstein was a smart player. Only the talent eluded him.

So when he was called "The next Eckstein", what was literally meant was "The Next Not-Eckstein".
Check it out as I hilariously fail at Cubs blogging.

Yanks DFA Soriano.

Don't see another team picking him up and his comments appear that he's understands that he hasn't produced and appears OK with retirement.
