Cards place Westbrook on 15 day DL.

 

Westbrook has been taking in the waters in St Louis with a 1.62 ERA 2-1 in 7 starts and 39 innings with 0 ER in 3 starts and 1 ER in another.

Big Z just signed with the Phillies on a minor league deal. The previously reported deal with Long Island was never official. This should get interesting.

Not to detract from the fun of Hawk stomping his feet and pitching a little hissy fit, but doesn't it seem like umps have been extra horrible this year- especially on calls at 1st?

I think we would have gotten more out of Hawk if it wouldn't have ended the inning and saved by commercial. His wallet probably benefited from it as well. I also wonder what kind of hand signals Stone was giving him.
