Have you taken a look at what Fat Elvis has been doing?

He's in my top 5 most hated fuck faces in baseball. Now playing, and playing well for the cardinals is multiplying that a bunch. Ass hole.

Tards' are activating Nick Punto and bringing up Mark Hamilton from AAA. My guess is that Punto is this year's Cards out-of-oblivion All-Star. Punto will play 2nd and just about anywhere else in the infield. Hamilton's a first baseman at AAA so he could become Fat Albert's replacement.

Yeah, because the Cubs have such a good history of developing hitters with poor plate discipline.

The thought of both Theriot and Punto in the same lineup makes my skin crawl.

If we were gonna bring in a 1B for one year, it's the GM's fault that we paid 10M for Nice guy, instead of going for Berkman, who has always been good.

Career OBP .408
I know JH hates that stat, but anything over .400 is HOF material.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Pena is 3 years younger, a better first baseman, and Berkman was bad for the Yankees last year. He also got 8 million, so it isn't like he was a huge bargain compared to Pena, plus he's been injured the last 2 years.

I also don't know where you get the notion that Hendry hates OBP.

I think Berkman will level out some, that Pena will improve, and that, considering defense, their overall contributions won't be drastically apart, like they are now.

That said, I would have definitely chosen Berkman. And since it's for a one-year deal, the age thing isn't as important.

And I assume you're joking about Hendry being an OBP-focused guy.

Not making something a priority and hating it are 2 different things.

Just sayin.

The Reds' online store is selling a new Mike Leake t-shirt. It comes with a security tag attached.
