My new favorite quote from mlbtraderumors:
Quote:Free agent right-hander Rich Harden is drawing interest from teams that would use him either as a starter or a reliever, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
That apparently eliminates teams that would use him as a right fielder.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I saw somebody tweet about it too, but don't think it was a legit source or anything.

That would be a dumb move by Toronto. Floyd blows.

Yeah hoping it's just bs....McGuire is someone I'd like to see come over in a Garza trade.

I can't help but feel that the Yankees got the best of the Mariners on the Pindea/Montero deal.

I agree. Montero doesn't even have a position and only played in a handful of games so far. Pineda will be, and already sort of is, a stud.

Carlos Pena signed a 1 yr contract with TB for $7.25 M. I thought he'd get more than that and possibly even a 2 year deal. Nice bargain for TB.

Wish all the luck to Pena. He did a solid job last year - good glove, solid teammate, calmed down young pitchers and position players and provided power bat.

This just makes $10 million for him last year look even more ridiculous.

Does it also make him look dumb for declining arbitration?

Perhaps. But when your booby prize is "only" $7.25 mil, how dumb would you feel?
