Yelich wasnt a power hitter with the Marlins. He topped out at 20 homers with them and that was a big jump. He was a slappy doubles hitter until he came to the Brewers. Maybe he just figured something out, but he went from averaging around .430 SLG in Miami to .598 last year and now hes slugging over .800.



So now hes Barry Bonds. Its suspicious.

 

The prognostic have predicted more power for Yelich more some time. They have been waiting for this breakout (which happens to be in his age-27 year). Still, the fact that all 13 of his HRs have come in Miller Park is meaningful, as Biggz suggests.

He’s a power hitter that doesn’t pop up. He just hits them out. 13 of his 30 hits are HRs. Crazy

I think Miller Park is a big factor for him. It's still early, but the Brewers have been pretty "meh" outside of Yelich.  They're playing way more to how they should be.

 

Very glad to see Hader struggling, hopefully last year's usage and the continuation of that use is finally catching up to his WT ass.

It's bullshit that the Brewers are playing their 24th game today and the Cubs have played 20.  Factoring out the one postponement for the Cubs, it's horseshit that the Brewers have been scheduled to have 3 fewer days off in the first month, meaning they have 3 (now 4) more later in the season.
