MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
After this, it's probably just Britton and Iglesias left in the high-end RP market.

I'm officially done with Jon Heyman.  He's spent the last week slurping Hader off, what a goddamn moron.

Probably because of this. Heyman is pretty useless.

The fact that he's leaving that tweet up is mind-boggling.

Have to hand it to him, he keeps doubling down on it.

Some FB gems from my Trump loving brother in law on my post about Hader:

"Im not saying it was right because its clearly wrong, but what about all the people who hate whites? What about black athletes, black politicians, tv personalities, who rip on whites and its no big deal. Some Black rappers shout hateful lyrics and people buy their cds, wheres the outrage? What about Farrakhan or the black panthers?"

"Baseball lives matter? As long as he isn't actually in the kkk who cares? Blacks and gays march shouting _____ power, doesn't that offend you?"

"So should he have been boo'ed? He was getting support for admitting he was making a mistake and owning up to it. Cubs fans boo Braun for steroid accusations, but Sammy's steroid use was acceptable? This is kind of funny Mark that you are so one sided on this after you trashed me for my pro gun views about six months ago? Should we assume that anytime something is said or someone disagrees with, everyone is bad, and everyone is racist?"

"Does he have the right to hate gay people? Yes... is it wrong... Probably yes. What if he were harassed by a gay person? I used to work in a restaurant in high school where the chef was gay and it made me feel pretty strongly against homosexuality. The guy was openly gay and made unwelcomed advances at my coworkers. Hader has the right to his opinion, just like gays have the right to be gay. Hader clearly isn't a skin head."

This kind of attitude drives me fucking bananas. People really don't understand the difference between someone yelling "white power" and someone yelling "black power"? They don't understand institutional racism? That the deck is so obviously stacked in favor of white men and so obviously stacked against minorities?

Also..."I didn't like my gay boss so now I'm against homosexuality"? Come the fuck on. Straight men make unwelcome advances at women constantly. You can be gay and also be a douchebag, but that shouldn't make you hate homosexuality in general.

The proud and willful ignorance of Trump supporters makes me want to bash my head against a fucking desk. I bet if you tried to talk with him about institutional racism and white privilege, he would say something like, "I'm white and I didn't get to where I am today because I'm white -- I worked hard for what I have." It isn't always, well -- you're white; here's your CEO position. But it's often, "well, you aren't black so I'll actually look at your resume or consider you for a promotion or not fucking shoot you during a routine traffic stop."

These same folks seem to think Donald Trump represents the pinnacle of masculinity, so it isn't that surprising.

I don't know how my sister puts up with it. He posts all kinds of vile shit. He actually quit FB for a while after that gun control dust up we had that he mentioned. I try just to ignore it, I unfollowed him, but it's fucking hard. And I get to spend holidays and other family functions with the guy and get to try to pretend like he isn't a piece of shit.
