Rickey and Rice will probably get in this year. Blyleven also probably deserves it, but won't get in.

Only lock really is Henderson. Very weak this years ballot. Maybe Mattingly for his guest spot on the Simpsons.

Not sure why I even care but I looked up Tim Raines compared to a couple of others. IMO Raines is better than DM and at least as good as Brock.

Raines
.810 career ops
.728 league avg. ops
2605 hits
1500 runs
980 rbi
808 sb
146 cs

Lou Brock
.753 career ops
.720 league avg ops
3023 hits
1610 runs
900 rbi
938 sb
307 cs

Mattingly
.829 ops
.729 league avg.
2153 hits
1007 runs
1009 rbi

How did Mattingly only attempt 25 SBs for his entire career?

before mattingly got hurt, he was infinitely better than raines. not even iin the same ballpark. raines isn't even in the same ballpark as brock either, though i do think brock was a tad overrated. way better than raines though. raines had longevity and a handful of decent years.

Agreed. Inflated stats, probably. But man, I didn't realize how good his numbers were.

McGwire got votes from only 23.6% of the voters last time around (http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/hofers...?year=2008), not a strong indicator that he'll ever get in.''

...and Dunston got a vote last year.

I'd say I agree they're the top two, and the most overrated is whichever one the baseball world thinks is better.

So tomorrow is the big day for Santo. If he doesn't get in now, after the modifications to the Veteran's Committee, I don't think he ever gets in. So let's hope for a happy day tomorrow!

I kinda have a good feeling about it.
