Yeah, they are smartly making him the lead character. Leonard was supposed to be the main character, but after the 1st season, they realized that Sheldon needs more lines.

It's a funny show that's been getting better recently. Early on though, I thought it was kinda annoying by some of the antics as I hated all the characters because they seemed too one-dimensional. Now I think it's developed into a consistently funny show and the characters aren't nearly as annoying.

Yeah, the only reason I even started watching it was because it's on the same night How I Met Your Mother is on. Recently (basically since the season started) it's been fucking outstanding though. I probably thinks it's funnier than most because I work with science dorks just like them and Sheldon has every trait from all of them rolled into one.

I love the two show mentioned. Both shows are greatly cast. And Sheldon does fucking rock. Plus I would love to see Penny in some sort of maxim spread.

Both of the shows mentioned are great, though How I Met Your Mother took a while to grow on me. Like Ruby I have a lot of these types around me so it was definitely a comedy I could get into quickly. Sheldon is clearly the best of the bunch but I like all of the characters.

Damn this is a funny show. I don't think I've ever laughed out loud that much at a typical sitcom.
Sheldon is a truly great character.
I know some people with Asberger's syndrome, and he's a perfect comedic version of that.
Even the girl (Penny) is great...good comedy skills, and very nice to look at.
