Ryno Moves Up To Double-A

Didn't see this anywhere but they're talking about it on Sportsnite. Ryno is the new Tennessee Smokies manager. Movin on up and hopefully he's with the big club in the next few years.
Jody Davis is the Cubs catching coordinator now as well.

I'd say he's on the fast track. I'd love to know more about his managing, other than the fact that he seems to get the boot quite often.

The special CSN did on him last year was pretty cool, following him and the Peoria team around for a few days during the season. The players love him and he's way more vocal than he ever was as a player. Ryno will be a big league manager if he wants to be, and I'd predict it will be for us in the next few years.

Good for Ryno. I await the day that he enters the big league as a manager and I certainly hope that he does so with us.

A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.
