Blu-Ray Movies?
#1
I picked up a blu-ray player Monday after holding out on getting one. I'd got my 1080p TV a few months ago and 7.1 home theater in-a-box system a few weeks ago - so I figured it was time to complete the tri-fecta and get a blu-ray player.

I picked up The Dark Knight in Blu-Ray, despite having a copy already on regular DVD. My DVD collection is about 250 movies-ish so its just not feesible to go back and replace old movies with Blu-Ray unless the movies are either favorites of mine or they look awesome in HD. Are there any blu-ray movies out there that are worth picking up that look really really really really nice?

The Pixar movies look absolutely amazing. I only own three Blu-Ray discs. Ratatouille, No Country for Old Men, and Spidey 3 (it came with the Ps3). I rent a lot of Blu Rays from Netflix, though. You can definitely notice a difference.

I quite enjoyed that movie, and yeah that would be great in HD.

If by "trilogy" you mean "first movie", I totally agree.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

"across the universe" is the first movie we ever saw on blu-ray and as of now it's still the best looking. it literally popped off the screen.

I just finished watching The Dark Knight on Blu Ray over the weekend. It may be one of my favorite movies of all time.
