Milton Bradley and Cubs agree to deal?
KB, while I'm a fairly big believer in the fielding bible, I consider the possibility that it's not 100% accurate. I'm sorry man, but you're treating it as a solid analysis of a defensive players abilities, and we all know that's just not true.

Is it a progressive and more accurate way of judging a player defensively compared to the usual defensive statistics? Absolutely. That doesn't make it infallible.

I love KB, he cracks me up and makes baseball discussion here entertaining, but holy shit, when I read "improving-with-the-glove Dunn" I about spit my drink out.

The only fielding stats I need to know about Dunn are the ones that I have seen on the TV, especially at Wrigley. The guy is just plain shithouse....

i think kb is related to dunn somehow. that has to be it. somewhere in this thread he said dunn practically begged the cubs to sign him. thats not what happened. dunn said he'd love to play for the cubs, maybe even preferred the cubs, but practically begged? no.

kb, adam dunn is your illegitimate son right? that has to be it.

Rubes...I'll have to remind you that most of your dissertations are far wackier than anything from KB. He's just not as snarling and mean.

How many of you watched every single inning of every single game the Reds played last year?
Ruby? Bz?
Because the Fielding Bible guys did. Every inning. Every play. Then they watched each play again in slow motion, and discussed it. And charted it. Every play. 162 games.
They did the same with with every Seattle Mariners games. Every single one.

Did Bz or Ruby watch every single inning, every play of every single Mariner game? Because if they didn't, then how can I trust their analysis that Ibanez didn't suffer a drop-off in his fielding last year?
Especially how can I trust that they know more than those Fielding Bible guys who DID watch every single Mariner and Reds contest.

Simply put, I can't.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I may not have watched every inning of every Reds game last year, but I'm 10,000% positive that I watched infinitely more innings than you did.

BTW, Dunn was a D-Back for half the season . . .

Also, I never said a word about Ibanez, not once. He plays in the AL, the only AL games I watch are the White Sox, Yankees, and Red Sox, I probably only saw him play 5-6 times last year.

I watch every inning of every game, every year.
