Damn straight. If this is only to make room for Bradley, I'll be angry as shit.

FWIW, Vizcaino has some nice years before he went to Colorado. He may be decent for us.

If Hendry is able to get rid of Marquis and add Bradley and Peavy, he is a freaking genius.
I got nothin'.

Also

Luis Vizcaino was pretty damn solid against right handed hitters. They only hit .170 off of him last year.

That's what I'm hoping for. I'd hate to lose DeRosa, but I think I'd get over it.

Yeah he used to be very good... but I still think it's much more of getting rid of Marquis than a Marqius-Vizcaino swap. He could definitely help us though and I like getting another proven veteran in the pen.

Yeah long term Peavy has a lot more value than DeRo, for this year it will hurt but it will be good long term I think.

I think he will and I've always thought he's one of the smartest upper management guys around. I seriously wouldn't trade him for any GM out there right now, I feel like I'm on the same page with him on just about everything. So I trust he'll add Peavy or some other starter at least, because he knows we can't go into the season with a pitcher that can't make more than 20 starts and a pitcher that's never thrown 125 innings at any professional level.

I do not know why there is negative responses to Luis Vizcaino. Even last year he had a decent year. He was just killed by lefty hitters and did well against the right handed hitters. He could do well in the 7th or 8th inning eventually.

I didn't see this Bradley article from Christmas day posted anywhere.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->The truth is Bradley and Piniella are made for each other, for at least one season. They are similar in many ways. The foremost common trait is they believe the game should be played with a controlled fury.

"Milton wants to win as much as any player I've ever been around," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "Sometimes, that's misunderstood, and that's unfortunate. Milton gets a bad rap, and it's not because he doesn't care. It's because he cares too much."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I like the acquisition. It's risky given Bradley's history, but he's very good.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

I think Bradley is a fabulous addition. I'm glad this happened. Everyone is an injury away from being sidelined--he's got a history, but I'm not sure that's a predictor of the future for a position player, unlike a pitcher.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

Oh Lou loves him. There's no doubt Milton wants to win, plays hard, all that... he's just crazy. When he's not down with an injury, suspended or whatever else, he kicks ass. Really, all I want is for him to be healthy in October. We could use his fire. I'm sick of pussies that can't sack the fuck up and perform in October. Milton's got those balls. As long as he doesn't murder any of the teammates in the regular season, I don't really care what he does then. Just like Harden, getting to October healthy is my main concern.

Well, it's happened pretty much every season. 500 plate appearances twice in 8 seasons, and plenty of that time was in the AL when he could just DH. The good sign is that he was able to have 510 plate appearances last year, coming off a torn ACL.
