I'm not. If things keep up at work, I may need someone else to handle commish duties this year. I'll try and look into a draft date and time later this week, whenever the site goes back online. Is everyone still in for this season, or do we need to replace anyone?

So far:
2010 Teams: *CC *Rotodestroyer *Fella Gad Clapp Chitown *Liner Andy *Rapp BT *Coach Tailgater Coldneck? *=confirmed for 2010

I'm probably out unless you guys really really need me. I've cleaned up in my 20 year old league with weekly transactions, but I've gotten my ass kicked when I have to set lineups every day.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I'm interested in taking over a team. Some questions:
1. Can I choose the best team from those not continuing? 2. What are the Keeper rules. I read that 3 keepers were permitted, but how does that effect the draft? 3. Is ESPN's site worth a crap? I used it about 5 years ago and hated it. 4. Is this a Roto - points only league, a head to head league, or something else? 5. Anyone want to make a sidebet I finish in the top 3?

I played in a league last year with weekly rosters, and I wasn't a huge fan of it. If you miss setting your roster before the week starts, you're screwed for the whole week. I thought we had compromised by setting up the rosters with more position players an fewer bench spots so that you didn't have to change them everyday last season?

First come, first serve I guess. 2. 3 and they count towards your first 3 picks 3. It's gotten better, and is apparently going through a redesign 4. Roto 5. No, coach got the last place team last season and cleaned up on us.

well, post Tailgater and BT's lineup when you get the chance. $50 paid in advance right? If I'm a winner I'm not a fan of hunting down my winnings from several different people. I've learned that's not fun in the past.

No, everyone pays up front. I have no idea when the ESPN site will be up. It's said it will be up "next week" for the past 3 weeks.

I don't have the time (and in all probability the ability) to manage a large roster of pitchers that need to be inserted or taken out of the lineup. when I say weekly transactions, I mean we draft a team of 23 guys, and all 23 are ALWAYS active. There is no setting lineups, so we don't draft 12 pitchers to rotate on a daily basis. The weekly transactions are weekly, as opposed to daily, changes to your 23 man roster. That is the mentality of being in the same kind of league for 20 years, I don't have the mental wherewithal to plan ahead. I simply have to draft 9 pitchers, let them start their normal turns, and once a week make sure they are all healthy.

I mean, you look at your team, you see the little "PP" next to their name and you move them off the bench. It takes 30 seconds...how difficult is that? If you have more time one day, then you do a little research and find someone to replace Crappy McGee. Colorado, I say we take this league to the next level. I want real time roster changes. You have to move players between batting and fielding spots between innings and you can only move relievers off the bench if they are actually in the bullpen warming up. Daily roster moves are for half ass fans.

If you actually took the time to read what I said instead of just inserting your random jackassery, you would realize DRAFTING a 23 man roster that doesn't change weekly and DRAFTING a 23 man roster that changes on a daily basis, are two entirely separate fucking concepts, regardless of looking at a PP next to their names. For instance, in a set league drafting 9 starting pitchers is fucking stupid, because they will murder your WHIP and ERA, and if they suck, there is nothing to you can do about it. In a league that changes lineups every day, drafting 9 starting pitchers is smart, because you can ride hot pitchers, take out guys that are killing you or have a bad matchup. It gives you flexibility. I've been playing fantasy baseball in multiple league for 20 years. I've also been playing fantasy baseball the way it was FUCKING INVENTED. See back in 1987, when I started, we didn't have the internet to make daily transactions. This is how the game has always been played. If you like daily changes, knock yourself out, but spare me the smart ass lectures about it, OK?
