SOI ESPN Keeper League
i think that everyone will pay, it would be a pretty bad dick move not to. i'm down for anything that makes people active. it may be hard to come back now, but at least a couple teams towards the bottom have been negligent since early june. it happened last year too, i just can't believe people have a disposable $50 they would pay just to do a draft. i was way back early on last year and just made a lot of moves, scanned the waiver wire and got back into it relatively quickly. i don't understand those that just give up before the all star break even comes. even if you think you're out of it for good, realize you're kind of skewing the thing for everyone else.

If teams get out of it early, they will quit.

So what is going to happen to the money pot if someone doesn't pay?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I would think that money would be a bigger incentive over tanking for draft picks.

After re-reading your post, you propose a draft lottery where the middle teams have more of an advantage over everyone else? I've never heard of one like that, but it could work.

Yeah, that's the idea at least.

So we could do it at a ratio like this (from worst to first)
4,5,6,7,8,9,10,3,2,1

I'm not in this league, but one thing one of my leagues does to retain interest is award a dollar prize to the team with the largest point gain after the all star break.

That's a really good idea too. I like it.

Clearly Coach and Liner have this thing locked up. Congrats guys. 3rd place looks like it's still up in the air.

PM me on how you guys want your money. I'd prefer to send it paypal, since it's been so long since I used my checkbook that I'm not even sure where it is.

I'm still checking it everyday because you came close to closing the gap a couple of times.

I got lucky with some guys and found some quality in the scrapheap.

Couple of questions as we start to prepare for next year:
Are we going with the weighted draft lottery?
Are we able to trade "keepers" for draft picks?
