i have to admit, i voted for the no restrictions thing. i know some of you are totally against it, but for me it's just one more thing to keep an eye on. i'm sure it's not hard to watch but i've never played like that before so for me, personally, i think the max pick-ups thing will subdue whatever you guys were worried about. i've never heard the term "streaming" before the end of last year, and i'm sure i was one of the main culprits of it but in the end, if we all have the same rules to play by, i don't see a problem in any of the choices.

The teams that really abused it had over 100 transactions last season... that's ridiculous. Of course there were a few that had less than 10, but Glove for example dropped off the face of the earth after week 1. I've never had a full fantasy season in which I haven't had at least 50 transactions without really streaming pitchers, though I do like to grab a SP that has a good matchup every now and then. I always scour the waiver wire for in season values, and it's really paid off for me in the past. I can't imagine going through a whole season with the team I've drafted, because it's never come close to happening for me. There are always opportunities to improve your team. I think 75 is a fair limit to keep streaming to a minimum, while allowing people to take a chance on waiver wire pickups in season.

cool, seems logical to me, i didn't know if people who knew more about streaming were dead set against that option

I actually voted for the 34 start limit, not really sure why. You could still stream pitchers, but it would at least be more of a challenge. I figure I'll have one RP that I'll carry in my P slots, and if you get a SP with dual eligibility, you can pitch him in the RP slots... There's potential for an extra 68 starts there. I'd much rather be able to carry a few extra starting pitchers on my roster through the season and rotate them, so the 34 starts limit wouldn't allow me to do that.

I'm excited. One of the biggest problems for me last year is I had to miss the draft and pretty much hated my team from the get go. I'll definitely be there tonight though and I'm much more motivated to kick some ass...

Funny thing is I drafted both mine and Gad's team last year and after the draft I liked Gad's team way more. I got lucky with some waiver wire pickups like Cliff Lee and Carlos Quentin though and somehow went from 8th place in July to winning it.

I had a lot of bad luck with my team last year. Soriano was my #1 overall pick and didn't perform like a top 10 guy, Bedard was supposed to be my ace and didn't even end up worthy of a roster spot etc.
It wasn't that the team was bad, I just never really felt connected to them because I didn't draft them. That and I made like 3 roster moves after May..
Thats not happening this year bitches...

i kept telling people who were dropping out last year that if you keep your eyes open, maybe get lucky, make a deal or two you can always get back into it (or fall out of contention with a few weeks to go after being around the top for most of the last 2/3rds of the season)

Speaking of Soriano.. I just don't like the guy.. Surely after the draft someone has to want the guy? Right?

I'll take him, I didn't have a good keeper to deal for him but after the draft a deal would be a lot easier for me.

About a year back Fella got mad at me for saying Soriano's contract was in the discussion for worst in baseball.. Sure there are other bad ones but his is in the discussion.. At the time he got mad at me... I wonder if he still feels that way.. lol
