SOI ESPN Keeper League
I sent out the info regarding payment for the league. Make sure it didn't get caught by your spam filter. It's also posted on the league front page. Thanks for being on the ball Andy!

It is a snake draft, but it doesn't start snaking until Round 5. I have no control over that, but you can see the order by clicking the my draft picks link on your team page. ESPN has some method for determining the tie-breaker, I'm not sure what it is, but it's probably in the help section somewhere. They awarded the #1 slot to Tailgater's team. As for the payment, thanks for the update. It's not a problem, I just don't want to be hounding people to pay up 3 months from now.

So are we going to be aware of who everybody's keepers are prior to the draft?

After the deadline next week I imagine.

So far I have payment from Me, Rotodestroyer and Andy

And there are 5 teams that have yet to select any keepers. The deadline is fast approaching.

I can't really define the limits as we discussed... I can only limit pitching by Innings Pitched or Games Started per pitching slot, so it applies to all pitching positions (SP, RP, P). The max. limit that I can set on IP is 201 per slot. We discussed setting pitching limits at 1750 IP, but that's not an option. 1750 IP over 9 slots works out to ~195 IP per pitching slot. Would everyone be ok with that?

After looking at it, there's about 50 starting pitchers that went over 195 IP last season. I'm thinking that we shouldn't put a limit on IP since we've already got a transaction limit set at 75. The IP limit would not be fair to someone that has Roy Halladay or CC Sabathia, who both had ~250 IP last season, and the transaction limit should be enough to keep streaming from getting out of hand.

Is there no way to limit number of starts? that seems like the best way to do it to me, if not then the transactions thing will have to do I guess.

Yes, I can limit # of starts per slot. Should we just set that at 32?

Just an overall limit of like 200 I think is good, but if it has to be per slot then I'd say like 34 per slot. Especially with the RP slots we have and the 75 transaction limit that should keep things under control.

I went ahead and created another poll on this issue.

guess we have time but only 4 votes in over 24 hours?

The poll really shouldn't affect keepers. If a 200 IP limit is set per slot, I imagine most people will keep a RP or two in their P spots most of the time, so there should be innings to go around if managed properly. It's just all in how we want to set the limit.
