One if the best revenge films I've seen is The Limey. It's a little unconventional in its narrative, but I loved it Terrance Stamp is amazing in it.

It doesn't get any more revenge oriented than The Count of Monte Cristo. There are various movie versions available. It's my all-time favorite book.

One if the best revenge films I've seen is The Limey. It's a little unconventional in its narrative, but I loved it Terrance Stamp is amazing in it.

I'm actually surprised that The Limey gets overlooked so much. If it weren't for Stamp though, it might be just an average film. I love the soundtrack/score of the film too. Soderbergh hasn't come close to topping himself since he made Out Of Sight and The Limey in succession. Kind of sad.

Without Stamp and without Soderbergh's play with the narrative/timeline, it would've been a pretty straightforward revenge flick.

Defiance has a couple sweet revenge scenes. It's an excellent movie all around.

Last House On the Left / The Virgin Spring (same story really)
Sympathy For Mr Vengeance
Oldboy
Dead Man's Shoes
Irreversible (though I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy)
Straw Dogs

the first 2 i left on there are a couple of my all-time favorites and the third one, that fire extinguisher scene, fuck. that's it, just - fuck.

The 15 minute rape scene bothered me quite a bit more.
