Yeah I've told you how I lived in Manhattan Beach for 5 years... Over a decade ago when Karros was with the Dodgers, my friend was at this indoor batting cage in the area. Anyway, Karros sees this kid hitting the cage, starts giving him pointers. He worked with my buddy on hitting for about a half hour. He had no obligation to do it, wasn't even some camp he was getting paid for. How many professional athletes would do that?
Then of course Karros bought that ad in the paper thanking Cubs fans. He was only with us for one season and as a part time player. Absolute class act.
