I have no evidence of it, but my guess is more high schoolers are with their old team after 10 than college players. The assumption being High schoolers will play at least 2 more years in the minor leagues than the college students.

There's some special high school talents though that you just have to take. This kid looks like one of them, and he IS a kid. Bryce Harper, he's a 15-year-old sophomore in high school at Durango in Vegas. I played against them there in high school and we got our asses kicked.

He's considered a lock to be the #1 pick in the 2011 draft and some say would be right now even. I've never seen the ball jump off of a high schooler's bat like this kid. They show him participating in this home run derby at Tropicana and he's hitting 500 foot bombs. Yes it's with an aluminum bat but those bitches are long gone regardless. He's also got a catcher with a cannon but can play 3rd and SS as well. We're going to be hearing a lot about this guy in the next few years.

Great swing, but too much leg movement. Open stance, toe tap, foot turn, stride. Easy to fix, but too much going on there.

Yeah, he'll be good. But there's a lot of things that can happen between now and then. Plus, at 6'3" and 205 at 16, you never really know if he's hit his peak or not. He's a big kid. A lefty catcher is kind of an anomaly. Apparently he showed up at a underclassmen all star event where most of the kids were frosh and sophs. He was in 6th grade. He hit 2 homeruns and had the highest grades coming out of the event. Some kids just have it.
