I mean I kind of get the great defense argument but has there ever been a more overrated player? Since Ozzie Smith I mean?

I still absolutely say that if he didn't do backflips, Ozzie Smith would have been, at most, a borderline HOFer.  Instead, he was a first ballot HOFer.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

It's funny when you compare his numbers to Omar Vizquel...inferior in every offensive category except for stolen bases.

Yadier Molina - career OPS+ = 98, WAR = 35.4 (14 seasons)

Comparatively

Jonathan Lucroy = 108, 20.2  (8 seasons)

Brian Mccann = 113, 30.2  (13 seasons)

Buster Posey = 135, 37.5 (9 seasons)

Recent HOF Catchers

Ivan Rodriguez = 106, 68.4 (21 seasons... to be fair, through 14 seasons he was at 115 & 59.3)

Mike Piazza = 142, 59.4 (16 seasons)
I got nothin'.

Wow.  You know, with the hype machine in full effect he's totally getting in no matter what.

You can't measure douchebaggery leadership.

Difficult to think about Molina and separate my Cardinal animosity. Molina probably peaked as an athlete around 2012 while Cardinals still had enough to win NLCS in 2013. Along with Posey, hes probably one of the most respected catchers in baseball. Hes the glue that held together a number of good Cardinal teams. Making him what I believe is technically referred to as an ass hat.

The neck tattoos definitely give him the edge over all of his peers.

So does this narrow the divisional gap?

A Bud at Busch.

Sorry. Typing that nauseated me.

Did you know that the reason Busch beer exists is because MLB wouldn't let the Busch family name the old park (2 ballparks ago) Budweiser Stadium?  So, to capitalize on the name, they developed Busch Beer.

In terms of "development," Busch beer is an 11-year-old girl.

I've never actually tried Busch beer, but I can only imagine it is equally as shitty as Bud.
