I enjoyed Morgan's take on why he thinks the Mets will win the NL East. Basically because he has talked to the players, knows them well, knows that they're really "gung-ho" about winning and knows they are eager to win. Great analysis.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

You can see why Fire Joe Morgan never ran out of material.

I think the A's are going to win because I like the color green.

The Padres will win because they wear those awesome camouflage uniforms on Memorial Day and they support the troops.

Nah, Morgan hates the A's, because they have that celebrated "author" running the team. Plus that shithead literary type, Beane, never played the game, so he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Well, I think the Yankees are gonna win, cuz when ferners bellow "Yankee go home" it means they don't like us, and I want everyone to like each other.

It seemed like Phillips hardly said anything during last night's game, which isn't a bad thing, until you consider that if he isn't talking then Morgan is.
