Well Dempster bounced back. Ended up to be not a bad outing. He was completely lost in that 3rd, so surprising, but glad he kept it close enough for us to come back.

Cotts has no fucking clue right now. If he doesn't record an out right here, Lou may yank him.

8 pitches, 8 balls, awesome

How much longer is Cotts going to stay on the roster, pitching like this. He can't get ANYONE out.

The problem is there's no other lefty in the pen. There's not even another lefty reliever on the 40-man. There are 5 open spots on the 40-man, but who do you call up? J.R. Mathes is 1 of 2 lefty pitchers in Iowa and he has a 9.64 ERA so far. Jason Waddell is the only other lefty pitcher in Iowa. He's pitched well, but I've never heard of him.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Opponents have a .563 OBP off Cotts in 7 games so far.

not to mention his 6+ ERA last August and his 6+ ERA last September.

Worth pointing out that Cotts is out of options, so they'll probably give him a lot of rope.

We've practically gone without a lefty. Do we really need one? Other than the Reds with Votto and Bruce, we don't face a left handed team for a while.

Maybe Marmol can start pitching with his left arm.
