I'm having no fun this year
#1
I hate this team and it's hard for me to even make an effort to watch them. I'm ready for college football.

I expect them to implode before July.

I didn't have very high hopes to begin with, and besides that, the regular season seems rather meaningless to me after the last 3 postseasons. Some of the joy of baseball may have been taken out of me forever.

But, I will still watch, and still care, just not as much as I used to.

Yeah I'm already growing pretty tired of this year's team and I've probably only watched around half of the games. I'm already sick of Bradley. I'm sick of Lou not having a clue on how to manage a bullpen. I hated Miles the second he was signed and I hate him even more now that I've seen him play. I'm just not really feeling this team at all.

That about sums it up for me.
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

I thought the first brewers series and the the first cards series were both awesome. This week has sucked and hear the feelings about the regular season now in general, but I'm not done with this team by any stretch. It's hard to like Bradley, but once everyone in the lineup is healthy, it's a good team.

If we had more depth at certain positions and weren't such a fundamentally stupid team, I'd be a little more optimistic. I'm not ready to lose it, but another week like this, and I may have to stop watching the games for a bit.

It sucks but I just can not get to worked up when we are only in the 3rd weekend of the year and we are missing Bradley, along with ARam and Marmol now and some of our key players are not hitting jack shit yet. . I think we will be fine but it does suck right now. There is no way in hell this Cardinals team is this damn good. No way.

Going into today's game there were only 4 teams in the NL with less losses than us. This team is going to be just fine. We are having a rough patch right now, it won't be the first one and it won't be the last one. Eventually, someone besides Ramirez, Fuk, and Theriot will start hitting.

As for the bullpen, I anticipate there being some shakeups if it continues going to way it is. There is no way that Patton stays in the pen all year. That pitch he threw to Pujols today could have been hit out by anyone. He threw a pitch just trying to get a strike, I guess someone forgot to mention that he was facing the best hitter of this decade!

Yeah, and Lou let him have it in the press, something like "I guess you can throw that pitch in Modesto, but you see what happens when you throw it here." (Patton spent last year in Modesto, CA)

I don't know what to think about our team. Most of us predicted that Bradley would be hurt a lot, that Miles would suck balls, and that we'd miss DeRosa badly. So, no shocker on any of those counts.

Fuk continues to amaze me. Very glad to see him rake.
But Z worries me...you can't help but wonder if he's thrown too many pitches over the last 6 years. Font will get better, but Lee may get worse (if that's possible).

I wonder if Bradley should be taking grounders at 1st base? It'd be tough to get injured there.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I am beginning to hate Miles also, but I also realize that we aren't even through the 2nd full weekend yet of the season. As for Derosa, with or without him we lose these last 4 games. Right now we just aren't hitting and now injuries are taking their toll. My hope is that we get them out of the way in April and early May instead of September.

In all honesty, the guy I am most pissed of at is Bradley!! The fucker should have served his suspension already and he should be put on the DL....but something tells me that neither is going to happen without him making some stink about it. He doesn't realize that he is hurting the team right now WAY more than he is helping.

I refuse to make any comments about whether I like this team or not. It's fucking April!!! April!!!

Did I mention it's April??? For fucks sake, chill out.

I have to say that the Bradley not taking his suspension thing is getting a little silly. For one thing, if he were to take his suspension right now, I believe (not sure) the Cubs would not be able to Bradley on the DL retroactive to his last appearance... which was about a week ago I believe?

That's a weak reason though. The real reason I think it's important for Bradley to do this is I think Bradley was unfairly suspended. He was rightfully tossed, but I think because of his reputation he was given the suspension. I think that needs to stop before he gets 2 or 3 more unwarranted suspensions this year. If he wins his appeal (which he'll probably get at least 1 game knocked off of a two game suspension), it won't even be a big deal. The reason he's missing time right now is because he's injured. That's the real reason you should be pissed at him.

And do you really think he's not on the DL because he said not to?
