Was it just one error, or 2 on the same play?
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I think I officially concede. This season is going straight to shit. I haven't, until this point, felt like there isn't a chance to get back on track. That's over now. We're fucked.

What would you have done differently? I don't think Lou is to blame tonight. Lack of offense and a bad catch by Theriot are not Lou's fault.

My biggest problem was sticking Marmol right back out there after yesterdays fiasco but of course Heilman sucked it up right after him so I guess it really would not have mattered.

Yeah, with this bullpen, sticking anyone on the mound is a roll of the dice.

Just little things that show you that he's not really into the game anymore. For example, what's Gathright's only value to the club? speed, right? Well, Lou's been constantly using him to pinch hit, and on Z's single, perfect situation for Gathright to pinch run, he keeps Z running. I mean, just doesn't make sense. Don't know if you get me.

Expected to lose this one, and we actually win it if not for a web gem. Over it.

I'm not blaming it entirely on Lou, though. This whole team needs to wake up, and quick.

So... I just came from one of the most amazing basketball games I've seen in a while. I hop on the train and check to see what happened with the Cubs. Buzz. Officially. Killed.

That was my biggest gripe. He had Heilman up a couple of times already, and inserted Marmol anyway as a last second decision after Marshall was about to start the inning. This game probably should have ended 2-1, but maybe not. Lou seems to be on a different planet since the playoffs, and so does this team. We are awful in every way right now.

You've got to get Marmol out there to handle situations like that.
