Umpires widening strike zones on Bradley...
#1
For fuck's sake this is stupid. Milton Bradley is blaming everyone for his shitty season. I hate this fucking guy.

There is probably an element of truth there, but obviously it's not the only reason why he's slumping. And really it's his own fault that the umps hate him so much.

He's just not very smart. Saying this isn't going to help.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

Yes, it will just piss the umps off even more, plus just makes him look like a whiner on top of that

This is starting to play out like it did with Alou in 2004. That ended well.

He has quickly and convincingly become my least favorite Cub in recent - and perhaps distant - memory.

Actually, I think it will. If he's saying this, an umpire isn't going to want to get caught calling an unfair strike zone. It may actually make the strike zone smaller for him IMO.

I guess you haven't seen all of the quotes lately of him saying he's responsible for the team sucking. He's not blaming others for his struggles. And he might be right about this. There's been some absolutely bullshit calls on him.

I am not sure what everyone expected when we got him. Set his numbers a side so far and he is the exact same guy he has always been. I don't know why some seem surprised by his actions.

Yeah, this is what we knew(or should've, it was not overblown as some suggested) we were getting, and nobody would care if he were hitting as he always has.

Wow, really?.....there are a lot of other guys that have annoyed me much more and sucked much more than Bradley has. Sure, I don't like his slump, and hearing him whining in this particular case doesn't help, but we've had a lot worse and more irritating guys on the team than Bradley.

Todd Hundley?
Juan Pierre?
Jason Marquis?
LaTroy Hawkins?
Sean Estes?
Jock Jones?
Neifi Perez?
Alex Gonzalez?
Aaron Miles?
Matt Stairs?
Jeromy Burnitz?
Bob Howry?
Neil Cotts?

I'm not saying they all rank ahead of Bradley (he's quickly climbing the ladder in my book), but there are plenty to choose from. And I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Well, just looking at recent times (last season), Bob Howry quickly comes to mind; Rich Hill was way more disappointing/annoying than Bradley has been this year; Felix Pie was a dud; Jason Marquis was irritating to say the least...... if we want to talk about the more distant past, there are many guys who could be mentioned.

EDIT: Yep, what Butchie said
