Cubs vs. Dodgers 5-29-09
#61
I think for the Cubs to win, Soriano is going to have to do it.
I like you guys a lot.

You know, Fox could have gotten a start especially after last night. As offensively challenged as we are right now, I'd sacrifice some defense for someone who can actually make contact on a consistent basis.

Super!

Actually, we are 10th in Runs and RBI's, though I'm not quite sure how.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

10th in the NL means 10 out of 16. That's in the bottom 50th percentile. That sounds about right.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Lilly is a flyball pitcher, too. Fox probably wouldn't have to do much.

Maybe Lilly will pitch a 12 inning shutout and we will have a chance to win?

Fox struck out in a crucial situation and also mishandled a double play ball, so can we please stop talking like we have Albert Pujols sitting on our bench?

I don't think anyone is saying he's Albert Pujols.

Maybe I missed something because I was making dinner at the time, but what did Fox do wrong on that play? It looked to me like Scales mishandled the ball while trying to get it out of his glove to me.

Scales got taken out big time, right as he was making the catch, nothing he could have done.

Things I am looking forward to: in 2012 when soriano is getting, what, 18 million and hitting .220 with 250 strikeouts...I can't wait for Butch's reaction.

Yea, that's made up. Of course, compared to Andres Blanco, Jake Fox is Albert Pujols.

Right, but if he hadn't bobbled the ball when he went to grab it from his glove, he might have had a chance at getting the throw off.

Right, because I'm the only guy on the board who uses hyperbole.
