Cubs @ Braves 06/02/09

Seriously. If you are Wells, how do you keep yourself from stabbing Gregg in the heart with a broken bat?
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I'm getting the feeling that BT doesn't care much for Gregg.

They all screwed up, but the fact is Gregg is our closer, and all he had to do was get Francouer out, which is one of the easier things to do in the major leagues.

There's no way we win this game. And don't we get Lowe tomorrow?

Poor Randy Wells. Pitches another gem, but he is still denied the W.

Yes. Bad feelings.

As the Cubs in Haiku guy would say:

Just can't lose this game.
Not after being up five.
In the eighth inning.

The Cubs bring me joy.
But certainly not today.
BT will stab Gregg.

If Lee and Soto make to easy plays, the Braves score 1 run. Gregg nor Marmol were great, but Lee and Soto's defense allowed the runs to score.

I think maybe we should have gone to 3rd there. I know you want to take the sure out, but if you get him at 3rd, a wild pitch won't beat you.
