The rant and vent thread
#31
Last year I felt no matter what, we could win every game we played. Down by one, we looked as if we can win... down by five, ten... you just had that feeling that the team will comeback and win. They were a fun team to watch, they had fire, tenacity, spirit. We won our division by comfortably. So if it ain't broke, why fix it?!?!? And the dealing of my old mate DeRosa was just well fuck me the totally the most stupid move ever.

Bradley, go get yourself a hot cup of man the fuck up. Unfortunate for you the Cubs uniform doesn't come with pin-striped skirts.

Soto, there's a bloke called Chris Robinson and he has painted a bulls-eye at the back of your skull

Fontenot and Miles, why show up?

Bullpen? I wish our starters could throw nine innings...

I wish Lou would give Bradley the "Del Rio" treatment:

I don't see that happening. Isn't this the last year of his contract, though? Dude needs to hang up his hat.

Hendry too. I don't know how it's possible to decimate a 97 win playoff team in one offseason without losing anyone significant to free agency, but he managed to do it this year.

I'm not sure I can watch tonight against Lowe. He is goign to fucking dominate us. I would say last nights game was a good way to start a cold streak but we have already lost 10 out of the last 14 fucking games.

The only thing that gives me any hope is that our starting pitching is good and should only get better, but that doesn't mean much when our position player douches can't score any runs or play defense and when our pen is ready and waiting to give up 5 runs once the starter exits. Randy Wells has a 1.6 ERA in 5 starts and our team record is 1-4 in those starts, pathetic.

I've tried to stay positive so far this year even though things have gone poorly but last nights loss put me over the edge. Too many guys sucking, no way everyone is going to turn it around, I still think Ramirez may not even play this year, we have no money to make trades. I still have to watch this team all summer too, I look forward to the Cubs in summer all year, Fuck Me.

I purchased tickets for a July game two weeks ago when that miserable 0-6 roadtrip started, and that very day the team started sucking ass. It's all my fault, and now I don't wanna go to that game anymore.

Definitely. You are paid millions to play the game and you can't go a month without tweaking some bitch injury. That's unacceptable.

Rick Ankiel freight-training it into a wall--now that's a legitimate excuse for an injury. Milton running hard--not so much.

Maybe we can call up San Francisco and see if Aaron Rowand is available. At least we'll know he'll play like a man

Hendry knew what he was getting into when he signed Bradley. When he paid for Milton, he paid for all of his weak-ass injuries, too.

Lou is Dusty with less melanin, a larger gut, and a louder voice.

There just isn't anything remotely likeable about this team this season. Pretty amazing considering how much fun last season was, up until the playoffs.

I don't know what the fuck Lou is thinking these days. Pitching to Chipper in the 12th last night, with first base open, was fucking stupid. I guess the whole 6 for 12 against Heilman meant nothing. And since he did let Heilman pitch to Chipper, why the fuck was his outfield in no-doubles territory? I know we've talked doom and gloom in the past, only to see the Cubs rebound. But this team isn't winning shit. They can trade whoever the fuck they want in July. I don't care.
